Cyborgs & Mom turns 50 & tonight's the show

IT's true! We are only a couple steps away from becoming cyborgs. The following are a list of crazy articles that prove we are at the beginning of technology that will make us into humans that can intergrate machines in our daily lives. Just think of the inmplications and the possibilities! Video camera eyes are soon to be possible - you can record your memories folks, well, soon enough anyways...

Well, I..m officially weirded out that my mom has turned 50. It feels kind of like when I tuned 25 and I realized that approximately 25% of my life had gone by. I can..t help but feel that my mom is feeling the same thing. But, in the same breath, it makes me feel quite okay with the whole idea of where I..m at, at 27 .. there..s still time for me to have kids that will be 20 before I..m 50. 20 years is a long ways away, though I know in a while I..ll regret saying that.
I..m kind of sad that she..s here in Vancouver and that I couldn..t be with her on her birthday, but I was at a rehearsal for the show that I couldn..t miss (seriously, it was the dress). She was all alone for her 50th birthday on the terrifying (she is really afraid of heights) 12th floor of the Wall Center Sheridan. I tried calling several times, as did my brostar, but her phone was off so we couldn..t even say happy birthday. Too bad. Happy birthday mom.
Tonight is the first night of the show .. it..s called 3rd Person. It..s all about narration and the concept of description. We look at a variety of different narrative techniques, and there..s actually no direct dialogue in the piece (though I don..t think I..ve ever spoken so much in a single show before). It will certainly be interesting to see what the audience has to say about it after. It really is art-house improv and not a show that everyone will ..get.., maybe that..s not the right word, it..s not a show that everyone will appreciate.
But for now, I..m off to finish up the day..s work and then head home to get ready for the show .. I hope I don..t sweat through my shirt.. I know I will though.

Lets be honest here, Mike -- when you turned 25 (that was two years ago now) you were more like 1/3 done your life, or, if we're being generous, 4/13ths, given the whole Vegan thing...
Sorry, couldn't resist the chance to razz you...must be the scooter.
