A post after many months - just for you dad! (seriously, get a myspace)
YAY! the rain is here!
For a bit there I was getting worried. I thought, just for a bit, that global warming had killed the rain. I was half excited but also terrified... I guess the next 10 years will be crazier and crazier when it comes to strange weather patterns.
Last night I went to the Vancouver International Film Festival closing Gala and it was lots of fun. There was free wine and beer and great food. Everyone was having a great time. That kind of social lubrication is great. Everyone was talkative, dancing and generally jovial. It was super good to head out to a function like that and just enjoy it. And, the tickets included the words ..Festive Dress.. .. basically it looked like prom for 20 to 60 year olds.
I enjoy being all dressed up and socially drunk (not sloppy but glowing) at something like that, and it was pretty sweet that the rest of the Razer crew was there too , they..re good people to party with. We took so many photos and I think I drank between 7 and 9 glasses of wine. It was quite refreshing. The only thing that would have made it better would be to have a film in the festival.. Soon, very soon.
I box of kraft dinner, 2 veggie weiners and 2 liters of water and an episode of Futurama before bed kept the hang over away and I managed to clean house and do laundry as well as get a little work done today too. And, the best thing about today will be going to BO KONG for supper. I can..t wait to eat some delicious Buddhist food. Mmmmm.
