First post in a couple of days.
Long time – no post. Wondering where I’ve been over that last couple days? Well, I’ll tell you – I’ve been up to some irregular shit.
Monday – a bust – not a lot done – it was a Stat – what can I say – I had to recharge my vitamin D stores – working inside all the time starts to induce rickets. I also performed in a steam-less show at the Urban Well.
Roman hosted for the first time and we valiantly played to our huge audience of 8 – it was dreadful towards the end – one of those shows that just has no gas and the fumes only carried us so far. We’ll pep it up next week for sure. I think one of the things that makes it feel really awkward is having everyone on stage – there is so little room to move or do anything – maybe I’ll mention it on Monday. Great second impression Mike Fly.
Tuesday was an interesting day – we said good bye to Rich at the office – he’s off to travel the eastern part of the country to enjoy taping drunken party people. It will be fun for him. We went to bridges and I didn’t really feel all that well for the rest of the night.
Never get the Fanny Bay Oyster Burger – it’s absolutely revolting, says Joel. It looked like deep fried semen on a bun. Blech.
Then I went to Brian’s place to help solidify a studio set up for his video blog. It went well, and the boys from The New Wrinkle were there to shoot it. It was good to watch the process – to remind me of how it will work when I am ready to do it myself. I’ve been thinking about how that will work – it’s all about balancing the most minimal of efforts with the most innovation. Apparently there aren’t many daily blogs out there with produced segments. We’ll see –I might actually have a purpose for my white walls after all.
I could not, for the life of me, sleep from
Maybe I’ll call Aussie Girl after work and explain my dilemma and then have a nap to center myself – I’m so high on caffeine right now – I’m going to crash and burn this afternoon – it’s not going to be pretty.
And lastly, over lunch, I became a member of Video In Studios so I could take a Final Cut Pro class next week. I will conquer you Final Cut Pro – I will be your master. Then all the pieces will fall together. For now – I’m off to work hard and the such. Cheers.

You sir, are an active blogger.
That was pretty much exactly how I felt about Monday's show. The running on fumes bit anyway. To such an extreme that there was no stand and be applauded at the end, but Roman just sort of announced it was over and everyone just melted away.
Having everyone onstage is especially weird when there are about the same number of improvisors as there are audience members. It also didn't help (I'm not sure if I was the only one who noticed this) that the people sitting closest to the stage were watching the tv when the show started. The dude just tried to ignore Roman for about half a minute and then begrudgingly got up and turned toward the stage when he realized it wasn't actually going to go away.
