Superman Returns, Returns

So I may have rallied some troupes together to see Supes again, this time in 3D! Who would have thought it wouldn’t be as spectacular as I was hoping it would be? Though, I will admit – the plane scene was great in 3D – I think it was the oversized polarized glasses that did it in for me – and potentially the Imax screen – as it was HUGE and I found myself darting from corner to corner of the screen a lot, while trying to process the 3D part of the experience. Needless to say, as my first 3D movie, I still enjoyed it – good luck making the experience better James Cameron.

$14.50 is too much to pay for a movie, regardless of how much 3D is involved. But, $6 is okay for breakfast, if it’s good.

Last night I went on a second date with Aussie Girl, and It was pretty fun, though a bit crazy. We started off heading down Davie looking for Indian food – but the place we found was packed with celebratory Canada-day-types so we abandoned that option a took off looking for something else. Persian cuisine is not very similar, but we decided to give it a shot. It was something interesting alright – kind of gloppy eggplant stew with rice. I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn’t seek it out again.

After our meal – we left and decided to keep up with the theme and we headed to the hookah “pub” to smoke some strawberry tobacco. I had never had tobacco out of a hookah before but Aussie Girl had. Needless to say, we smoked our brains out and ended up leaving in a haze of strawberry scented, nauseated fog. It was pretty fun, if not a little too much. We managed to walk off the ill—feeling and then headed back to wrap up the night early because apparently nurses work very early in the morning – for 12 hour shifts. Ouch.
And that’s the sum of my experience today – I was lazy, did very little and had a dream about a family of pork farmers (pig ranchers?) that had to put down a pig because it was biting people. Very strange.

Remember – tomorrow is a Statutory holiday – don’t do anything productive. I’m doing my part by performing in an improv show!
